Las 5 mil concesiones de transporte urbano existentes tienen saturada la región, en especial la zona conurbada de Zamora, Jacona y Tangancícuaro, lo que incluye tanto taxis como camiones, mini buses y combis, desvaneciendo con ello la posibilidad de que haya nuevas, informó el titular de COCOTRA en esta zona, Salvador Ruiz Córdoba.
“Se hizo un estudio en el que marca municipios en los que ya no es factible otorgar concesiones. En el caso de la zona conurbada tenemos que esperar hasta el año que entra, además también existe el mandato que promulgó el gobernador Fausto Vallejo, en el sentido de que no se van a otorgar concesiones a ninguna parte del estado y que vence en febrero del año que entra; se va a tener que hacer un análisis y ver en cuáles áreas sí son factibles que se otorguen concesiones nuevas”, explicó.
Añadió que recientemente revisaron los itinerarios con el objeto de actualizar las rutas “Esto nos permitirá determinar en cuánto se podría incrementar el padrón el año entrante, si es que se va a incrementar o va a permanecer en la misma cantidad. De acuerdo a la forma que ha crecido la ciudad veremos si es necesario o solamente autorizar ramales de las rutas que ya están establecidas”, dijo.
Detalló que de las 5 mil concesiones de autos de alquiler y colectivos urbanos que hay en los 34 municipios, el 70 por ciento está concentrada en las localidades de Zamora, Jacona, La Piedad, Jiquilpan, Sahuayo, Tangancícuaro y Zacapu “Estas ciudades están ligadas a la sobre oferta, por el crecimiento normal de la población”.
Indicó que esta situación genera mermas en la economía de los trasportistas, además del obvio problema vial, por ello el gobierno del estado decidió no otorgar más concesiones para no dañar la economía del concesionario y el caos urbano.
Dijo finalmente que esta sobre oferta ya ha causado molestias por parte de los transportistas “Ha existido oposición de ellos a la entrega de concesiones nuevas y se han manifestado en la Comisión Coordinadora del Transporte (COCOTRA) del estado, de manera particular cada agrupación, no lo han hecho de manera colectiva, ni cerrando calles, se han manifestado de manera pacífica, porque la entrega de más concesiones si significaría un impacto a la economía de ellos”.
