-Por machismo y tabúes no se atrevían a denunciar casos ante instancias de gobierno

3 de cada 10 hombres del municipio padece de violencia intrafamiliar en Zamora, de acuerdo con los casos atendidos ante el Instituto Municipal de la Mujer (IMM). Las agresiones psicológicas ocupan el primer lugar, seguido de las físicas, de manera que ese tipo de perjuicios ya no son exclusivos de la población femenina.
Lorena Aguilar González, directora del IMM, informó que por machismo o tabúes los varones no se atrevían a denunciar los casos ante las instancias de gobierno por el temor a ser señalados por la sociedad y porque se consideraba que la atención solo estaba enfocada a las mujeres en este municipio.
“Se debe comprender que la violencia intrafamiliar no es exclusiva de la población de la población femenina porque es una realidad que todos están expuestos a esa situación porque los golpes se reparten para todos cuando se presentan esas situaciones lamentables en el hogar”, mencionó.
Comentó que lo más lamentable de la violencia en los hogares es que se trasladen los hechos hacia los hijos porque observan un contexto familiar complejo y en consecuencia llegar a adoptar los mismos patrones de conducta de los progenitores y es una situación que influye de manera importante en su comportamiento en lo sucesivo.
Finalizó al decir que derivado de ello es que han incrementado el desarrollo de talleres en colonias y comunidades en donde se ha promovido el fomento de valores que permitan el hecho de mejorar la convivencia en los hogares y que no se manifiesten ese tipo de actos que perjudican a la población.
