La escuadra de Linces de Zamora hizo una participación digna en los torneos nacionales celebrados en Mazatlán y Vallarta, en ambos obtuvo victorias contra oncenas del país y en la categoría 2009 se quedó con el subcampeonato del certamen.
Julio César Rodríguez Yépez, director deportivo de la institución, informó que en la categoría 2006 – 2007 perdieron 2 a 0 a Mazatlán; ganaron 2 a 0 a Chihuahua y 9 a 0 a Aguascalientes, sin embargo, se quedaron en fase de grupos, al no calificar a la siguiente ronda.
En la categoría 2009 se quedaron con el subcampeonato al perder la final 2 a 1 contra Salamanca en tiempos extra. El papel que hizo el equipo fue sumamente competitivo al obtener múltiples victorias a lo largo de la competición.
“Esas son las oportunidades que buscamos generar para nuestros jugadores y queremos aprovechar los espacios para que puedan ser observados y llamados por otros equipos profesionales porque queremos ser exportadores de talento para la parte profesional”, explicó.
Finalmente agregó que, por el momento, ambos equipos, se reintegrarán a las competiciones locales con el propósito de que se pueda dar marcha adelante con su participación y haya buenos resultados para consolidar el proyecto.
