Del 20 al 22 de febrero el Colegio Juana de Asbaje realizó la edición 36 de las Jornadas Cazarianas, las cuales tienen como objetivo el fomento a la lectura y la formación integral del estudiantado. Igualmente contempla una pasarela de personas cuenta cuentos infantiles, presentaciones de poesías y una feria del libro.
La precursora de estas jornadas fue la madre Josefina González Chávez, entonces directora, allá por la década de los años 80 del siglo pasado. El nombre de las jornadas tiene su origen en José María Cazares, segundo Obispo de Zamora.
Cabe señalar que el Colegio Juana Asbaje, junto con el Colegio Manuel Fulcheri son considerados los más antiguos de la Congregación de Hermanas de las pobres Siervas del Sagrado Corazón, ya que tienen más de 100 años, dieron a conocer la Dra. Leticia Ríos Hernández, Madre Directora del Colegio Juana de Asbaje y la Dra. Eva Sofía Méndez Gutiérrez, docente del Colegio Juana de Asbaje.
«Lo valioso de nuestra institución es el cuidado en el proceso espiritual y el desarrollo personal cristiano del estudiantado. La lectura es la mejor herramienta para que los estudiantes desarrollen la expresión oral, así como diversas habilidades, tanto sociales, de comprensión, de desempeño académico y el fortalecimiento de su autoestima y sus valores», expresó Leticia Ríos Hernández.
Añadió que el libro impreso es una herramienta apasionante que contribuye a una buena disertación, «como dicen los doctores Rojas: la lectura es la aristocracia de la inteligencia, a los niños les desarrollamos el placer por la lectura, indicándoles que la inteligencia les garantiza elegancia en su personalidad», mencionó.
Por su parte, Eva Sofía Méndez Gutiérrez admitió que, afortunadamente, el nivel de lectura de comprensión entre los estudiantes del Colegio Juana de Asbaje es óptimo, «desde preescolar se le garantiza un desarrollo cognitivo gracias a la lectura de diversos cuentos clásicos.
Asimismo, en primaria, continuamente los docentes solicitan a los estudiantes reseñas de diversos libros, “además contamos con una biblioteca escolar con un acervo muy valioso de literatura infantil y algunas colecciones».
Subrayó que es fundamental involucrar a los padres de familia en actividades conjuntas con sus hijos, por ejemplo, en lectura de comprensión, «son el pilar, la médula, para que los alumnos tengan un mejor desarrollo de enseñanza – aprendizaje».
En el marco de las Jornadas Cazarianas inauguraron una micro cafetería, que sin duda será un espacio agradable para que los estudiantes se reúnan a convivir y disfrutar de sus alimentos. El colegio además cuenta con una capilla para la formación humana-cristiana, basada en valores entre el estudiantado, áreas deportivas, entre otros espacios.
También realizan actividades artístico – culturales de coro, danza y a propósito de febrero, continúa el periodo de prescripciones en la institución que se ubica en plena zona centro de Zamora, en Colón 160 Oriente o bien, también hay acceso por la calle de Hidalgo (frente a Correos), cuenta con preescolar y primaria.
