Como exitoso calificaron la realización del Congreso de Emergencias Obstétricas realizado los días 24, 25 y 26 de mayo, el cual fue teórico y práctico.
Las sedes fueron el hospital San José y el Hospital Regional. Se trató de una suma de esfuerzos de la Secretaria de Salud del Estado (SSM), la jurisdicción sanitaria, el hospital regional, el hospital San José y el ayuntamiento de Zamora.
Jaime Ramírez Oregel, director de salud pública del ayuntamiento, indicó que en el país y en la región se siguen registrando muertes materno-infantiles, cuyas causas más comunes son el sangrado, la preclampsia y la eclampsia.
Este congreso estuvo dirigido al personal de salud, desde enfermeros, ginecólogos, médicos generales, químicos, laboratoristas en aras de estar preparados y tener una mayor habilidad para atender de una manera adecuada este tipo de emergencias y con ello evitar las muertes materno- infantil. El curso fue totalmente gratuito, al cierre del mismo se les entregó una certificación.
Al frente de este congreso estuvieron 18 ponentes con temas como sangrado, precalampsia, eclampsia, cuidados durante el embarazo, entre otros, “en lo que va de este año, en la jurisdicción se tiene el registro de un fallecimiento materno- infantil; mientras que el año pasado a este mismo periodo iban 3 defunciones del binomio”.
Admitió que Zamora es una ciudad que está en alerta por muerte materno- infantil, ya que no se cuenta con una unidad de terapia intensiva, además de que existe una pandemia de embarazos de adolescentes.
«Es fundamental que el personal de la salud continué en las capacitaciones continuas para que tengan una mayor habilidad y atender estas emergencias. Se debe hacer hincapié en las consultas prenatales, máxime si son adolescentes o niñas embarazadas o bien embarazadas con antecedentes familiares o personales deben intensificar sus cuidados», finalizó.
Esta primera capacitación se realizó en beneficio de 120 médicos generales, urgenciológos, especialistas gineco obstetras, anestesiólogos, pediatras, enfermeras generales y especialistas de la SSM, IMSS e ISSSTE, así como clínicas privadas pertenecientes a la jurisdicción sanitaria de Zamora.
