Las expectativas para esta temporada de lluvias nos son del todo favorables, ya que debido al fenómeno natural de la niña las lluvias se retrasarán y presentarán de una manera más escasa, «Zamora está dentro de una zona considerada con alto riesgo de sequía y esto ocasionará que más se retrasen las lluvias en esta zona», señaló Daniel Martínez, director municipal de Protección Civil.
Mencionó que a partir de julio se retirará el fenómeno de la niña y comenzará el fenómeno del niño, que traerá consigo algunas lluvias, «esto permitirá que el temporal se presente con precipitaciones copiosas de una manera tardía, pero también de una manera más distante, ya que se extenderá hasta inicios de diciembre».
Agregó, «esperamos que esas lluvias copiosas generen la cantidad de agua que beneficie y recargue los cuerpos de agua que tenemos en la región y que nos permita que en el temporal de sequía siguiente tengamos agua disponible para que sea moderada la siguiente sequía».
Reiteró que actualmente Zamora se encuentra en una zona con alto riego de sequía, precisamente por la falta de caída de agua, «el temporal de agua del año pasado no fue el esperado, cayó mucho menos de lo que se tenía previsto y, por tanto, estamos entrando en ese riesgo de tener un problema grave de sequía”.
Para esta próxima temporada de lluvias hizo algunas recomendaciones: «hay que mantener las calles y banquetas limpias, evitar tirar basura, debido a que el 90 por ciento de los encharcamientos que nosotros atendemos en una situación de emergencia, los resolvemos quitando basura desde las alcantarillas».
«Por tanto, uno de los mayores riesgos es humano, si nosotros seguimos tirando basura en las calles, vamos a seguir aumentando el riesgo de encharcamientos y en su caso inundaciones», concluyó.
