El Centro de Rehabilitación Integral (CRI) Promotón celebró este fin de semana su XV aniversario; a la par, el Centro de Autismo cumplió 5 años de servicio, por lo que personal de estas instituciones celebraron estos acontecimientos con una fiesta en conocida quinta de la ciudad, donde Rosa Lidia Tamayo Ríos, coordinadora de estos espacios, mencionó que son años de esfuerzo en favor de los sectores más vulnerables como son las personas con alguna discapacidad o con el trastorno ya citado.
«Hemos permanecido gracias al apoyo de la sociedad civil, el sector empresarial y políticos que han confiado en estas obras sociales. Cada vez son más familias las que demandan el servicio para que se garantice una terapia integral y puedan incorporarse a la vida social, productiva y escolar. Este logro significa la cristalización de muchos sueños y esfuerzos, no sólo del Patronato, sino de mucha gente solidaria».
Por su parte, Marisela de Jesús Oseguera Guzmán, Directora del CRI, mencionó que el reto ha sido ampliar el número de terapias a atender, «durante la pandemia tuvimos que reducir horarios y días de atención por falta de recursos. Sin embargo, el Patronato sigue trabajando en pro de conseguir más fondos y poder ampliar el número de servicios, ya que tenemos una amplia demanda y de alguna manera queremos atender al mayor número posible de personas».
«Otro de los retos es mejorar el mantenimiento y equipamiento de ambos centros; así como atender todas las solicitudes que tenemos en espera. Anualmente atendemos en promedio a 900 pacientes en el CRI, con diversas discapacidades, desde bebés recién nacidos, hasta adultos mayores”.
En su turno Socorro Judith Cabrera Vega, Coordinadora del Centro de Autismo, admitió que aún son múltiples las necesidades de este espacio que atiende semanalmente en promedio 130 pacientes. No obstante, hay más de 100 pacientes en lista de espera esperando un diagnóstico y su terapia. Por lo que el reto es atender a la totalidad de los que demandan el servicio.
Finalmente, mencionaron que esperan ampliar su número de benefactores para seguir posicionándose como los mejores centros a nivel nacional.
