– Hacen demostración pública de rescate vertical desde las alturas de la Catedral

Gracias a su continua capacitación, los socorristas de la Cruz Roja Zamora son especialistas y ejemplo a nivel nacional en diversas disciplinas que van de rescate vertical, de extracción vehicular, búsqueda y rescate en estructuras colapsadas en el caso de derrumbes de casas y edificios, entre otras, subrayó Juan Pablo García, coordinador del área operativa de socorros de la benemérita institución.
Comentó que en su institución la capacitación es muy importante, “nuestros elementos tienen muchos cursos y especialidades, pero también es primordial para nosotros que la población esté preparada y capacitada. Por eso, el último sábado de cada fin de mes damos a la gente un curso gratuito de primeros auxilios para que sepan qué hacer y cómo responder en caso de una emergencia».
En el marco de la conmemoración al día internacional del socorrista, mencionó que, para conmemorar tal acontecimiento, realizaron una demostración de un rescate vertical, simulando que en Catedral se tenían dos personas lesionadas, “realizamos una tirolesa, en la cual se descendió a un lesionado, por medio de una camilla aérea, hasta que los paramédicos lo recibieron y trasladaron a un hospital”.
«El segundo lesionado simuló estar colgado en una cuerda, tras desmayarse, porque realizaba labor de limpieza en las alturas. Los paramédicos lo rescatan». También en la plaza principal realizaron algunas capacitaciones, desde primeros auxilios y de reanimación cardiopulmonar. Cruz Roja Zamora cuenta con 45 voluntarios, de los cuales, participaron 25 en esta práctica”, finalizó.
