– Agricultores temen que actividad decaiga por falta de apoyos y seguro agrícola

“Es urgente que las autoridades no olviden al sector primario del campo.
Hoy vemos con tristeza que el sector se encuentra sumido en una crisis por la falta de recursos económicos y la cancelación de diferentes programas de apoyo. Si no se pone atención a la situación es probable que la actividad decaiga y se comience a perder terreno en el trabajo agrícola, falten alimentos y bajen los jornales”.
Señaló Jorge Hernández Álvarez, presidente de la asociación de pequeños productores de Huarachanillo, informó que una de las preocupaciones relevantes es la desaparición de subsidios que anteriormente se destinaban para seguro agrícola, de esa forma no perder la totalidad de la inversión, debido a sufrir algún siniestro por sequía o exceso de lluvias en perjuicio de la actividad.
“En estos tiempos, donde no es predecible el clima, se vuelve necesario contar con ese tipo de apoyos, lamentamos que haya una política de rechazo a los productores agrícolas lejos de sentir un respaldo que nos permita hacer una parte importante de la actividad productiva y económica del país a través de las fuentes de empleo y la inversión que se genera en el campo”, enfatizó.
Concluyó que una muestra de la falta de sostenibilidad de la actividad agrícola es el hecho de que hay cultivos que han migrado de un punto a otro o en su defecto van a la baja, porque los pequeños productores ya no cuentan con los recursos necesarios para hacer frente a la compra de insumos y agroquímicos que son necesarios para que la producción se pueda dar en su totalidad.
