Un total de 17 sillas de ruedas fueron entregadas por el presidente municipal, Carlos Soto, y artistas famosos en el ámbito nacional como Pablo Montero, Rosa Concha y Christian Carabias. Los beneficiarios fueron habitantes de lugares como El Vergel, Altamira, Colonia Ramírez, Adolfo López Mateos, Nueva Grecia, Jardines de Catedral, Generalísimo Morelos, Lázaro Cárdenas, La Lima, Linda Vista, El Porvenir, Salinas de Gortari y la comunidad de Ario de Rayón.
Al respecto, Carlos Soto puntualizó que este tipo de obras y acciones deben continuar para que Zamora se convierta en uno de los mejores municipios de la Entidad durante los próximos años y de allí que también agradeció la donación hecha por la empresa RIB Entertainment que fue la encargada de llevar a cabo la donación de las sillas que fueron destinadas a personas de escasos recursos.
Por su parte, Rocío Soto Delgado, presidenta del DIF Municipal, aseguró que para la selección de las personas que recibieron su silla de ruedas tuvieron que hacer estudios socioeconómicos con la finalidad de identificar las necesidades de cada uno de los beneficiarios y además pasaron por un proceso de selección porque hay una lista de espera a la que se buscará hacer llegar ayuda de ese tipo en la medida que más empresas se puedan sumar a esos esfuerzos.
Finalmente, Pablo Montero, cantante famoso a nivel nacional del género ranchero y grupero, puntualizó a EL INDEPENDIENTE que es una satisfacción importante participar en este tipo de causas que cambian la vida de familias y aseguró que pronto vendrá al municipio para cantar a toda la población dentro del género que promueve al asegurar que Zamora es una gran ciudad para todo el mundo.
