En las 4 unidades del centro de Integración Juvenil (CIJ), situadas en Michoacán, ubicadas en Zamora, Morelia, La Piedad y Apatzingán, en 2022 se atendieron a casi 238 mil personas en prevención y a 2 mil 300 en tratamiento. En estos últimos pacientes, la mariguana siguió encabezando como la droga de mayor consumo, en un 78%, incluso, por arriba del alcohol. Por debajo le siguen el tabaco y las metanfetaminas».
Así lo expresó Kena Moreno, fundadora del CIJ y vicepresidenta vitalicia del patronato nacional de dicho instituto, lo anterior durante reciente visita a esta ciudad, “la atención de las adicciones y la salud mental es posible gracias a la ayuda de los patronatos de cada una de las 120 unidades del país, mismos que están integrados por 700 personas en la República Mexicana”.
En lo que respecta a Zamora, el CIJ está presidido por el doctor Alberto Sahagún y Rosa María Alcalde; así como el contador Roberto Melgoza y Dolores Cortés. A lo largo de 25 años, ellos, al igual que todo el patronato, se han preocupado por el mantenimiento de las instalaciones y en gestionar diversos insumos para los distintos programas de prevención y de tratamiento.
Finalmente fue reconocida la labor de Francisco Gil Cerda, director del CIJ Zamora, quien tiene 21 años al frente de esta encomienda encaminada a la prevención y el tratamiento de adicciones.
