Más de mil árboles llevan entregados a la población como parte de la campaña permanente «Adopta un árbol, Zamora respira», en sus diversas variedades de especies desde mezquite, huizache, tabachin, palo verde, rosa morada, pino, pata de mula, cedro, entre otras.
Aún hay disponibles 28 mil y están por llegar 7 mil más, informó Haydee Alfaro Sánchez, directora de protección animal y ecología.
«Como pobladores conscientes, todos nos podemos hacer responsables de adoptar por lo menos un árbol y si tenemos la capacidad de cuidar más, pues mucho mejor. Apostamos más a esta forma de reforestar que hacerlo de manera masiva”.
Consideró que comúnmente la gente cree que la temporada de lluvias es suficiente para que los árboles se desarrollen, cuando no es así, “ya que los árboles pequeños requieren un cuidado permanente de por lo menos un año o año y medio para que puedan sobrevivir. Lo que asegura la vida de un árbol es el cuidado que le da el habitante que se compromete hacerlo. Afortunadamente hay buena respuesta ciudadana».
Dio a conocer que los interesados en adoptar un árbol sólo deben presentar en la dependencia que encabeza: copia de comprobante de domicilio, INE, foto del lugar donde los pretenden plantar y firmar el compromiso, “aquí les damos un vale para pasar a recoger los árboles al vivero municipal, ubicado en el fraccionamiento San Miguel Arcángel, Quinta San Miguel; acabamos de vivir una ola de calor terrible, está en nosotros mejorar nuestro medio ambiente».
