Representantes de la Cruz Roja, delegación Zamora, anunciaron que vienen cambios en el Consejo y Dirección de la Benemérita Institución, en aras de fortalecer y mejorar el rumbo de la misma y garantizar un mejor servicio.
Así lo expresaron durante una reunión que sostuvieron con representantes de los medios de comunicación, en aras de reforzar vínculos para una mayor difusión de las distintas actividades que vienen para la institución.
Anunciaron que, por motivos de salud, a la brevedad dejará la presidencia de la institución René Nájera Alvarado, quien lleva al frente de la misma 10 años. Le sucederá en la encomienda Juan Pablo García, quien ha sido voluntario de la Cruz Roja desde hace 32 años, como coordinador operativo de ambulancias, emergencias y desastres.
Indicaron que los apoyos hacia la institución son prácticamente nulos por parte de los 3 ordenes de gobierno, las delegaciones locales se mantienen por los medios que generan las mismas, “somos una institución de asistencia privada (IAP) que no recibe apoyo de ningún tipo, inclusive ni de la propia Cruz Roja a nivel nacional o estatal. Por lo que tenemos que generar nuestros propios recursos para poder operar».
Dio a conocer que, ante la falta de recursos económicos, “no estamos cubriendo los servicios que quisiéramos, porque cada salida de ambulancia es gratuita para la población, sin embargo, a nosotros como delegación un servicio de emergencia nos implica un costo de 650 pesos que, multiplicado por más de mil servicios al año, estamos hablando que requerimos más de un millón de pesos anuales para poder cubrir los servicios de emergencia».
Por ello, finalizo, anunciaron que en la restructuración del consejo, se involucrara a empresarios comprometidos con Zamora, que estén dispuestos a aportan parte de sus ganancias a esta institución, cuya misión es salvar vidas.
