Desde el martes 31 de octubre, miércoles 1 y jueves 2 de noviembre, acudieron al panteón municipal de Jacona «Jardín de la Esperanza» más de 25 mil personas para recordar a sus seres queridos que ya descansan en paz.
En un recinto donde en los últimos 28 años han enterrado poco más de 8 mil difuntos, tiempo que lleva en funciones este panteón, el cual aún tiene capacidad para recibir a otros 5 mil finados, pues todavía se cuenta con espacio suficiente.
Por otro lado, pese a que el precio de las flores incrementó hasta en un 50 por ciento, las tumbas lucieron bastante coloridas, repletas de estos productos ornamentales, llenos de vida, aunque en algunos casos, las personas optaron por flores artificiales. El costo de las flores naturales incrementó debido a la escasa producción a causa de la sequía que hubo en algunas partes del país y el incremento en el costo de los fertilizantes y las semillas.
Pero pese a las adversidades, las familias entrevistadas por El Independiente son optimistas y no pierden esta añeja tradición mexicana, pues hasta montaron picnic a un costado de las tumbas, con mariachi, músicos, tequila, alimentos, botanas, para hacerle un tributo a la muerte y a la propia vida.
De acuerdo a un sondeo realizado entre las familias asistentes al panteón, gran parte de los difuntos que descansan en estos sagrados aposentos fallecieron a causa de enfermedades crónico- degenerativas, como diabetes, hipertensión, obesidad, infartos al miocardio; o bien a causa del alcoholismo, la violencia. De ahí que hicieron un recordatorio a valorar lo más preciado que tenemos que es la salud física y mental.
Cabe mencionar que las instalaciones del camposanto lucieron dignas, pues previamente, por indicaciones del presidente municipal, Isidoro Mosqueda, se realizaron acciones de mejora y mantenimiento. Se privilegió salvaguardar la seguridad de los asistentes, ya que se montó un operativo con personal de la policía municipal, bomberos, protección civil y la fiscalía.
Sergio Mora, inspector de oficialía mayor, aseguro que se instalaron 80 comerciantes en las inmediaciones del panteón que ofrecieron venta de comida, fruta, flores, sombreros, paraguas, agua, botanas, «afortunadamente se mantuvo el orden y hubo una importante derrama económica por el gran flujo de visitantes que se tuvo», finalizó.
