– Visitó Senadora estadounidense la comunidad

Con la intención de abrir mercado en el extranjero a los artesanos de Huancito, a efecto de que puedan proyectar sus piezas a nivel internacional, Miguel Ramos Alejo, presidente municipal de Chilchota, recibió a Karina Villa, senadora del 25 distrito de Chicago Illinois USA, a quien le solicitó la participación de estos creadores durante la semana artesanal «México en Chicago», que se realizará en mayo del 2024.
Es así que para ese mes está acordado enviar 40 artesanos para que expongan en Chicago toda la riqueza artesanal de esta comunidad indígena y evitar con ello a los intermediarios, «pondrán en alto a nuestro municipio, estado y país. Hay mucho capital humano mexicano trabajando en esas tierras extranjeras, es emotivo conocer el trabajo que realizan estos paisanos, quienes con su esfuerzo contribuyen a que se hable bien de nuestro país. Marcamos historia en el extranjero».
Por su parte, Adriana Campos Huirache, diputada federal, dijo que es fundamental fortalecer los lazos con autoridades de Estados Unidos para seguir abonando a la agenda migrante, «esta ha tenido especial relevancia, en los últimos años los gobiernos han gestionado en otros lugares para dar mayores alternativas de desarrollo a los ciudadanos. Confiamos en la buena voluntad y disposición de la senadora que hoy nos visita desde el estado de Illinois para que podamos trabajar en beneficio de los habitantes de esta comunidad».
Estuvo presente también Antonio García Conejo, senador michoacano, indicó que está al pendiente de cuidar los intereses de los prestadores de servicios, quienes son el motor de la industria turística, «desde hace 5 años estamos luchando porque se le de mayor recurso a la infraestructura, a la protección del medio ambiente, al fortalecimiento de la cultura para seguir abonando al tema turístico. Sin embargo, los recursos han sido limitados. Por ello apostamos por la vinculación con el sector empresarial, autoridades, para contribuir a mejorar las condiciones».
Recordó que hace dos años presentó una iniciativa para reformar la constitución y que el turismo sea considerado como una área prioritaria, «en el articulo 28 constitucional están prohibidos los monopolios, pero al estado le corresponde tener claridad de sus áreas estratégicas y el turismo es la tercer fuente de economía del país, genera 10 millones de empleos directos e indirectos. Confiamos que en este o en el siguiente periodo se apruebe como ley».
Finalmente, Karina Villa admitió que Michoacán es un estado con una vasta riqueza artesanal, por lo que garantizará espacios de proyección en Chicago para los creadores michoacanos, cuyas piezas son dignas de admirarse.
