El gremio periodístico está de luto, falleció la periodista María Teresa de Jesús Chávez Ventura, mejor conocida como «Tere Chávez», su deceso ocurrió la noche del pasado jueves, aparentemente a consecuencia de un paro cardíaco, según informaron personas cercanas a ella.
Considerada una de las decanas del periodismo en la región y la más conocida entre todos los sectores sociales: agricultores, académicos, paramédicos, médicos, empresarios, funcionarios públicos y colegas, todos la recuerdan como una mujer aguerrida, de carácter y solidaria, quienes inundaron las redes sociales de esquelas, recuerdos y anécdotas con ella.
Aunque tenía tiempo con problemas asociados al corazón, ella nunca desistió y en las conferencias de prensa y eventos se le veía normal en los días previos a su muerte, se le recuerda activa en busca de la información, siempre presente en los mejores acontecimientos del acontecer político, social, cultural, académico.
«Teresita», como muchos de sus compañeros nos referíamos a ella con cariño, se desempeñó por alrededor de 40 años en la apasionante labor de la información, en diversos medios de comunicación: en el “Sol de Zamora”, “Z de Zamora” y en su más reciente proyecto informativo denominado «Contracorriente», medio digital en donde quedará su pluma para la posteridad.
Cabe mencionar que además de su labor periodística, Tere incursionó en diversas áreas de la Cruz Roja, ya que además de ser comunicóloga por la Universidad de Guadalajara, también fue paramédico en la benemérita institución.
Tere está siendo velada en la comunidad indígena de Patambán, en el vecino municipio de Tangancícuaro y hoy a las 3 pm será su misa de cuerpo presente en el Templo de San Francisco de dicha localidad.
