– Por lo que la eficiencia del uso del agua es baja

«La mayoría de canales del distrito de riego de Zamora son a cielo abierto, por lo que la eficiencia del uso del agua agrícola es baja.
De ahí la importancia de implementar estrategias para que los usuarios hagan eficiente el recurso hídrico», señaló Gustavo Hernández Medina, jefe de distrito 061 Zamora y 099 La Magdalena.
Por ello invitó a los usuarios de los módulos de riego a realizar la conservación de los distintos canales para que estos no se llenen de azolve y pueda fluir con mayor facilidad el poco recurso hídrico que tienen para que llegue a las zonas agrícolas.
Recordó que en el año 2023 se declaró un año de sequía por las escasas lluvias que se registraron, por lo que la mayoría de las fuentes de abastecimiento se encuentren en niveles poco favorables, “aunque la mayoría de módulos de riego están descapitalizados”.
Derivado de lo anterior, concluyó, tienen adeudos millonarios hacia la CONAGUA, “es que muchos no han cubierto sus pagos por el concepto de uso del agua en bloque, debido a que han tenido muchas complicaciones para poder producir, tanto por la escasez de agua, los insumos como fertilizantes con costos muy elevados, entre otras”.
