– Hubo procesión desde El Calvario hasta la Catedral en el centro; centenas de personas asistieron

Centenas de feligreses y sacerdotes llevaron a cabo la celebración del Corpus Christi (cuerpo y sangre de Cristo) por medio de una procesión que inició en el templo del Calvario para después continuar al Carmen, La Purísima y terminar con una celebración eucarística en la catedral de Zamora como parte de las tradiciones zamoranas de arraigo.
En el evento, hubo personas que participaron de manera pacífica, pero también hubo quienes recordaron que esta festividad tenía mayor relevancia años atrás entre las familias porque trascendía más allá de lo religioso al instalarse diferentes puestos con productos en el municipio que atendían diferentes necesidades de las personas.
Durante la homilía, el sacerdote Guillermo Bernal Gutiérrez, párroco del Calvario, enfatizó que la celebración del Corpus Christi también es un llamado a la santidad y a estar unificados como iglesia para que cada una de las personas haga un acto de conversión y se acerque a las cosas favorables que permiten vivir en comunidad llena de paz.
Cabe añadir que este viernes también se llevará a cabo una tradición que es parte de la celebración del Corpus Christi como son los denominados “harinazos” en Chilchota en donde la gente considera que es para purificar el cuerpo; hoy miles de visitantes fueron invitados por las familias a comer el famoso Churipo.
