– DIF apela a generosidad de zamoranos para evitar que niños abandonen estudios

El programa de Becas Padrino requiere de mayor número de colaboradores, debido a que en la actualidad apenas hay 100 personas que contribuyen para que niños que cursan el nivel básico escolar no abandonen sus estudios por falta de recursos económicos. Se requieren por lo menos 400 “padrinos” para que se pueda cumplir con la demanda que hay en el municipio.
Rocío Soto Delgado, presidenta del DIF Zamora, informó que hay al menos 400 niños de escasos recursos en lista de espera para ingresar al programa, con base en los datos que han recopilado de las escuelas públicas que hay en el municipio. Los infantes se seleccionan por medio de un estudio socioeconómico, sumado a la recomendación hecha por directivos de las instituciones.
“Para evitar que alguien se quede sin recibir el apoyo económico y atienda sus necesidades, se hace una rotación en el padrón. Hay niños que concluyen un nivel escolar y se da posibilidad a que otros puedan apoyarse, pero con esa necesidad, necesitamos que haya más sensibilidad e incluso más empresarios que se puedan sumar a esta causa; de ser necesario, su aportación se puede hacer deducible de impuestos”, explicó.
Concluyó que cualquier persona se puede acercar para ser padrino ante el DIF Municipal. La aportación mensual es de 300 pesos. A los padres de familia se les pide hacer un buen uso de los recursos, de manera que también se solicitan informes a las instituciones educativas, quienes también reportan si el alumno mantiene un buen promedio escolar para que se mantenga su apoyo.
