– Puntualizó que Zamora debe ir por el turista de vacaciones o eventos más que por el de negocios, que es lo fuerte actualmente

“Estando unidos podemos hacer más. En la región de Zamora podemos generar ideas, nuevas negociaciones para la adquisición de nuevos insumos para la infraestructura hotelera. Hay relaciones con las autoridades de los diferentes niveles de gobierno que nos permitirían tener una actividad sólida en materia de hospedaje si hay esa unión entre los hoteleros”, puntualizó Jorge Ramos Méndez, presidente de la asociación de hoteles y moteles de Michoacán en la región de Zamora.
En entrevista en El Independiente TV, comentó que con la unidad se puede acceder con mayor facilidad a compras de materiales, equipos, así como cursos y certificaciones que son impartidos por las diferentes dependencias de gobierno, “el sector hotelero actualmente se encuentra en un proceso de rezago en cuanto a ocupación hotelera en comparación con 2023 y 2022 en la Entidad, incluso en Semana Santa, porque no se lograron los objetivos en ese apartado”.
Mencionó que, en el caso de Zamora, han visto esfuerzos del Ayuntamiento para fortalecer la actividad turística y si los eventos de corte tradicional, cultural y gastronómica se pueden repetir de manera constante, facilitará venderlos como producto turístico a los visitantes, porque es una realidad que la ocupación hotelera actualmente en el municipio es para cuestiones de negocio, más no de vacaciones, además, hay una buena oportunidad para desarrollar el turismo religioso.
Finalmente, agregó que, actualmente, en la Entidad hay 120 agremiados, de los que 9 son de esta demarcación de Zamora. La infraestructura hotelera en el municipio tiene capacidad para ofrecer hasta 900 camas, de un total de 30 establecimientos, aunque, reconoció, no hay una base de datos formal que permita corroborar la información.
