El Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) superó el problema de atención a pacientes oncológicos de Zamora, sin embargo, continúa sin equipo para radioterapia, por lo que los pacientes tienen que salir de la entidad a recibir el tratamiento, dio a conocer en rueda de prensa en esta ciudad el delegado Miguel Ángel Van-Dick Puga.
El funcionario del IMSS sostuvo que desde la delegación se les da atención a los pacientes oncológicos y sostienen reuniones permanentes con estos para resolver sus demandas, “es un tema que se focalizó en Zamora; hay que reconocer que sí teníamos problemas en el abasto total y con el equipo, lo abordamos desde que llegamos y cada 15 días tenemos una reunión virtual; nosotros les atendemos temas de citas, medicamentos y laboratorios”, reconoció el delegado.
El delegado también aseguró que actualmente esa dependencia logró ampliar la cobertura, pero persiste la falta de equipo para radioterapia, “el abasto incrementó, tenemos un porcentaje entre 97 a 98 por ciento; el único inconveniente es la radioterapia, que tenemos que acudir a otro estado”, declaró.
En la rueda de prensa también informó sobre la donación de órganos y tejidos que tuvo el IMSS la semana pasada, cuando se procuraron un hígado, dos riñones y dos córneas. El donante fue un adolescente. El delegado, entonces, hizo un llamado a todos los michoacanos a participar en la donación, al decirle a los familiares el interés de ello al morir.
