- El gobernador Salvador Jara signó convenio con el INEA para abatir analfabetismo, donde aseguró que además de enseñar a leer y escribir, se requiere dotar de capacidades adicionales a los beneficiarios de este programa.

El analfabetismo limita el actuar de los ciudadanos en las situaciones más cotidianas e imposibilita el avance en cuestiones de defensa de la individualidad y los derechos básicos, reconoció el gobernador de Michoacán, Salvador Jara Guerrero, durante la firma de Convenio de Colaboración entre el Gobierno del Estado y el Instituto Nacional para la Educación de los Adultos (INEA).
En presencia de Alfredo Llorente Martínez, director general del INEA, Jara Guerrero subrayó que se requiere alfabetizar a quienes no saben leer ni escribir y, posteriormente, dotarles de capacidades adicionales en cuanto al manejo de otras disciplinas específicas, tales como las matemáticas, para lograr su desarrollo integral.
Señaló que con la firma de este convenio se garantiza un trabajo de continuidad y la puesta en marcha de importantes acciones a favor de los habitantes de la entidad en situación de analfabetismo, buscando incrementar de manera considerable el número de personas con la capacidad de leer y escribir.
«Esta inversión que hace el Gobierno de Michoacán con el Gobierno Federal no se limita sólo al dinero, porque va más allá y estamos formando verdaderos seres humanos. Ustedes son los que van a multiplicar los granitos de arena y son otros desde ahora», indicó a la generación de graduados de Primaria que en este evento recibieron su certificado.
El mandatario michoacano destacó que la lectura y la escritura tienen la capacidad de proporcionar una serie de beneficios al individuo que las practica, como enriquecer el desarrollo cognitivo y acceder de forma inmediata a distintos contextos a través de la literatura.
Salvador Jara consideró importante retomar el gusto por la escritura tradicional con el uso de la pluma y del papel, toda vez que dicha actividad se ha ido perdiendo de forma gradual con el arribo de las computadoras y de la era tecnológica.
Por su parte, Alfredo Llorente, director general del Instituto Nacional para la Educación de los Adultos (INEA), externó un agradecimiento al Gobierno del Estado de Michoacán por su interés en apoyar la formación de las personas adultas y felicitó a los educandos que demostraron deseos de superación.
Confió en que estas historias de éxito se multipliquen en 87 mil michoacanos más en el marco de la Campaña Nacional de Alfabetización y Abatimiento del Rezago Educativo, que habrá de implementarse durante los próximos cuatro años.
Reconoció que Michoacán se mantiene en los niveles de mayor rezago educativo en todo el país, lo cual se debe admitir y enfrentar de manera ordenada. En este contexto, dijo que el convenio signado con el gobernador Salvador Jara constituye un parteaguas en el modo que los diferentes niveles de gobierno entienden y atienden dicho rezago.
