Los ciudadanos fueron exhortados para evitar el consumo de alimentos de alimentos en la calle durante la temporada de calor, ya que es más común que durante este periodo se presenten cuadros de enfermedades gastrointestinales que perjudican la salud de las personas.
“El punto es que se pueden contraer enfermedades más graves como una hepatitis o salmonelosis como producto del consumo de alimentos en la calle; los niños y adultos mayores son los sectores de la población más vulnerables y los que se pueden enfermar con mayor facilidad”, informó José Villalpando Rocha, coordinador de salud.
Comentó que es preferible hacer un esfuerzo económico y que las personas acudan a ingerir alimentos a lugares confiables, es decir a restaurantes o locales en donde los productos que se ofrezcan no se encuentros expuestos a bacterias coliformes que son una de las causas principales de las enfermedades gastrointestinales.
Subrayó que no es bueno que la población se auto medique en el caso de contraer una enfermedad de ese tipo, ya que podrían complicar los padecimientos de la enfermedad; por el contrario, es necesario que acudan a la clínica de salud más cercana y que no dejen de consumir líquidos.
“En el hogar es importante que las madres de familia laven sus frutas y verduras, que pongan a hervir el agua y que eviten dejar sus alimentos a la intemperie para evitar que tengan algún tipo de contaminación porque las moscas son insectos transmisores de bacterias”, recomendó.
Finalmente dijo que el tema de las enfermedades gastrointestinales agudas será tratado en la próxima reunión del Consejo Municipal de Salud programada para la semana entrante, por lo que se dará a conocer una radiografía del municipio para ver cuál es la incidencia de casos y cuáles serán los métodos a aplicar para atacarlos.
