La quema de pastizales se disparó hasta 50 por ciento con la temporada de secas en el municipio e incluso no se descarta que en los próximos meses pueda aumentar aún más esa práctica por parte de los productores agrícolas. Actualmente se atiende un promedio de 3 a 4 reportes diarios de ese tipo que son apagados por los bomberos municipales.
José Adán Ureña Barajas, coordinador municipal de protección civil, informó que por el momento las quemas han sido controladas por parte de los elementos de la dependencia, debido a que han llegado de manera oportuna a sofocar el fuego a los lugares donde se presentan los incendios con la finalidad de evitar que se salgan de control.
Indicó que los avisos de la población de han convertido en una herramienta para llegar a atender de manera oportuna las contingencias que se registran en la localidad, ya que son actos en donde generalmente los productores agrícolas no avisan sobre las acciones que van a efectuar, pese a que en protección civil se les ha sugerido que se acerquen para tener un mayor control de las actividades.
Comentó que los riesgos principales es que haya viviendas perjudicadas cuando la zona del pastizal se encuentra cercana a esos lugares y más porque el viento que llega a registrarse propicia que el fuego se avive y extienda por lo que se pone en peligro la integridad física de las personas que están cercanas a la zona de riesgo.
Finalmente agregó que es importante que la población se abstenga de hacer llamados falsos porque el tiempo perdido puede marcar la diferencia entre ir a una contingencia real y atender ese tipo de situaciones para evitar que se ponga en riesgo la vida de personas o en su defecto haya pérdidas materiales de consideración.
