Las autoridades estatales pasadas que estuvieron al frente del edificio fueron los responsables de que el edificio no tenga un programa interno de seguridad, que los extintores para incendios se encuentren caducados y de que haya carencias en caso de que se presente una contingencia, incumpliendo con las medidas mínimas de seguridad.
Los resultados son parte de una revisión efectuada en el edificio realizada el pasado 28 de febrero, ante el riesgo que representa el edificio porque los cristales del área de librería se encuentran abombados por aparentes desperfectos en la estructura del edificio, informó Sergio Gómez García, coordinador municipal de protección civil.
“Los detalles de los cristales fueron parte de la información que recibimos de personal que acaba de establecerse en el Centro Regional de las Artes, cuya responsable interina es Diana Correa, quien nos dio las facilidades para hacer la verificación y descartar cualquier riesgo a la población”, explicó.
Comentó que además existe la necesidad de establecer rutas de evacuación y capacitación al personal que labora en el edificio porque realmente no cuentan con esa instrucción, de manera que no sabrían cómo reaccionar en caso de que se presente una contingencia en el edificio.
“Las autoridades actuales se comprometieron a hacer los cambios necesarios a la brevedad posible y nosotros tendremos que programar otra visita para detectar que hayan cubierto cada una de esas necesidades. Incluso estamos en disposición de colaborar con ellos para que tengan avances importantes al respecto”, dijo.
Mencionó que por el momento las actividades en el área de biblioteca quedaron suspendidas hasta hacer las remodelaciones necesarias en ese punto para corregir los desperfectos en la estructura, descartó que haya riesgos de un posible derrumbe del edificio que fue construido hace casi 8 años.
“La misma situación realizarán en la Casona Pardo en donde también el Gobierno del Estado tiene contemplado establecer medidas de protección civil para atender cualquier contingencia de seguridad y regularizar la situación del edificio, de esa forma evitar accidentes entre la población”, aseguró.
Finalmente dijo que las observaciones realizadas al edificio pueden corregirse y negó que sean un riesgo potencial que ponga en peligro la vida de los comerciantes establecidos en los alrededores del Centro Regional de las Artes, a quienes pidió tener la seguridad de que no sucederán situaciones que los pongan en riesgo.
