– Los precios de jitomate, chayote, aguacate e incluso cilantro se elevan

El alza en verduras comestibles en el hogar se deriva a su vez del incremento en el costo de los insumos agrícolas utilizados para la producción, pero también derivado de la inflación que durante los últimos meses está descontrolada, hasta 5.7% anual, según datos proporcionados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI), que reducen la capacidad adquisitiva de las familias para alimentarse.
Así lo dio a conocer Jorge Hernández Álvarez, presidente de la asociación de pequeños productores de Huarachanillo, comentó que lo anterior es resultado también de la crisis que viven los productores al no haber políticas públicas suficientes que permitan el hecho de que puedan obtener apoyos para fortalecer su labor en el campo y porque es una realidad que lo que utilizan para la producción cada vez es más costoso.
“Hay cultivos que han incrementado hasta en 50 mil pesos su costo y todo se desprende de la falta de apoyos que tenemos, porque desaparecieron los subsidios, los programas de contingencias o seguros agrícolas, pero también opciones de financiamiento que nos permitan amortizar los costos”, explicó.
Los productos emanados del campo que más han tenido un incremento en sus precios, en los últimos días, son el jitomate que se encuentra por encima de los 30 pesos por kilo; el chayote que sigue arriba de 40 pesos por kilo; el aguacate que también oscila en los 45 y 70 pesos por kilo y el cilantro, cuyo manojo se llegó a posicionar por encima de los 100 pesos.
“Sin apoyos, es más difícil podamos maniobrar sobre los precios de lo que producimos, porque es una realidad que para nosotros cada vez son más costosos los productos que utilizamos para generar los alimentos que la gente necesita en sus hogares”, finalizó.
