Más de 20 mil visitantes arribaron durante Semana Santa a la región de Zamora para pasar la primera parte de este periodo vacacional. La ocupación hotelera repuntó hasta 40 por ciento de un total de 2 mil habitaciones disponibles en este municipio y sus cercanías, de acuerdo a datos preliminares de la Delegación de Turismo.
Personal de la dependencia estatal, a falta de titular, dio a conocer que los lugares más concurridos fueron lugares como balnearios, donde destacó Camécuaro, la Presa de la Luz y el géiser de Ixtlán. Otra opción importante fue esta localidad, debido a las festividades religiosas del Señor de la Salud, la Semana Santa en la Calzada y la Procesión del Silencio.
Durante el periodo vacacional fue otorgada orientación e información turística a los visitantes por medio de los módulos que fueron instalados en diferentes puntos de la región en los que también repartieron folletos y carteles con datos sobre los destinos a los que los turistas pueden acudir para pasar su descanso.
“Fue una asistencia de personas importante para este periodo vacacional y finalmente los beneficios económicos se verán reflejados en el comercio y en el flujo de circulante que se da durante estas fechas que es una de las situaciones que más demandan los comerciantes”, dijo.
En otro orden de ideas, informaron sobre el cambio de la sede de la delegación de la dependencia estatal. Anteriormente operaban en un inmueble ubicado en la calle Morelos, ahora estarán situados en un edificio ubicado en Colón casi esquina con Aquiles Serdán.
Hasta la fecha no sido designado un titular para que ocupe la delegación de Turismo, por lo que lleva casi un mes acéfala la dependencia, sin que ello afecte la operatividad, ya que continúa la atención a las personas que necesitan información sobre diferentes destinos que se pueden visitar en esta región.
