Hasta 50 por ciento aumentan los riesgos de brotes de enfermedades diarreicas agudas y de dengue, a partir de que ha iniciado la temporada de lluvias en el municipio, ya que es común que haya mayor cantidad de alimentos que se degradan por las altas temperaturas y que se generen encharcamientos o estancamientos de agua que reproducen el mosquito.
En la temporada pluvial se llegan a duplicar las consultas por cuadros de diarrea que presenta la población por causas como el consumo de agua que no está clorada, la falta de refrigeración de alimentos y porque generalmente comen en la calle productos que no representan una garantía sanitaria, informó Roberto Vázquez Palacios, director del hospital regional de Zamora.
“Tendremos que reforzar las campañas de limpieza en el municipio para minimizar las posibilidades de que se presenten estas enfermedades y establecer una coordinación para que se brinde una atención médica oportuna a quienes presenten ese tipo de cuadros infecciosos”, puntualizó Rosendo Oseguera Villanueva, regidor de salud, en el marco de una reunión con el Consejo Municipal de Salud, efectuada en sala de Cabildo.
Los representantes de hospitales públicos, privados, dependencias sanitarias y municipales coincidieron en que la población de niños menores de 5 años son los más vulnerables a este tipo de casos y son en quienes deben enfocar la atención para evitar que se presenten casos de mortandad por complicaciones.
“Si las personas presentan vómito, diarrea o temperatura es importante que no se auto mediquen porque podrían ocasionar que se complique su salud. Es necesario que acudan a la clínica u hospital de salud más cercano para que reciban la atención respectiva, sin correr ningún riesgo”, subrayó Rosendo Oseguera Villanueva.
Finalmente, los miembros del consejo acordaron estar al pendiente de los estudios que realice la Jurisdicción Sanitaria N° 2 con respecto al dengue en el municipio, en donde hasta la fecha no se ha presentado un solo caso, debido a las labores de prevención que han sido efectuadas en colonias y comunidades.
“No podemos decir que tenemos ganada la lucha porque a partir de este periodo es cuando incrementarán los riesgos de que se presenten casos de la enfermedad y por ello es que pedimos a la población que mantenga limpios sus patios y frentes de casa de cacharros y recipientes de plástico o vidrio donde se puedan ocasionar estancamientos de agua”, concluyeron.
