Buscarán extender el programa Policía de Barrio a más de 20 colonias en el municipio, debido a que han logrado disminuir el índice de delitos en casi el 50 por ciento de la zona urbana, ya que la participación de los ciudadanos ha permitido identificar cada uno de los focos rojos que aquejan a los asentamientos.
“Anteriormente era común tener diferentes robos o que se generaran grupos pandilleros que fomentaban vicios en lotes baldíos, pero a partir de la inclusión de los ciudadanos hemos buscado alternativas para solucionar esa problemática y que la población viva en un ambiente cordial y tranquilo donde sea fomentada la convivencia sana”, informó José Adán Ureña Barajas, director de policía y tránsito.
Aseguró que actualmente aplican el programa en un total de 46 colonias, de las que han enfocado la atención en lugares como Ferrocarril, Valencia, El Vergel, Palo Alto, Puerta Grande, Altamira y Real del Jericó; mientras que en las comunidades han laborado en Atacheo, Aquiles Serdán y La Rinconada.
Comentó que además han logrado rehabilitar áreas verdes y lotes baldíos que anteriormente podrían ser considerados como guaridas para que pandilleros cometieran ilícitos y además utilizarán enervantes para afectar su salud y la de jóvenes que residen en los lugares mencionados.
Indicó que también consiguieron la participación de más de 50 mil habitantes en cada una de las acciones, ya que la participación ciudadana es importante para la prevención de delitos que puedan atentar contra la integridad física de los vecinos.
“Esperamos que más personas se puedan sumar a esta iniciativa porque no solo es responsabilidad de la policía municipal mantener el orden en cada una de las colonias y comunidades”, finalizó
