Un total de 10 sillas de ruedas, 2 andaderas y 1 silla de baño fueron entregadas por el presidente municipal, Carlos Soto Delgado y Rocío Soto, Presidenta del DIF Zamora, para mejorar la calidad de vida de personas que tienen dificultades de movilidad y que puedan atender de una manera más fácil sus necesidades personales.
En el evento, el edil mencionó que el material llegó derivado de una gestión realizada ante el Gobierno del Estado que, a través de Grisel Tello, presidenta del DIF Michoacán, pudo consumarse para continuar con la ayuda a los sectores vulnerables de la localidad y más porque hay personas que se encuentran en lista de espera en estas vertientes.
Enfatizó que el tema de la movilidad y la inclusión no lo van a soltar, aunque se han generado diferentes críticas al respecto porque está consciente del verdadero beneficio que existe con estas políticas debido a que hay facilidades de acceso a diferentes espacios públicos y aseguró que es más la gente buena que apuesta a estas acciones.
Por su parte, Rocío Soto Delgado, informó que fueron aceptados para ser parte del programa Salud Visual que consiste en 25 cirugías para quienes padecen cataratas y que no cuentan con seguridad social, de manera que a la brevedad serán electas las personas que serán candidatas a este procedimiento para mejorar su visión.
Agregó que continuará el trabajo con un compromiso importante para mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes que participan en este tipo de programas porque la intención es que adultos mayores, personas con discapacidad u otro padecimiento, mejoren sus condiciones de movilidad y de allí que el objetivo será mantener las gestiones ante el Gobierno del Estado.
