Por primera vez en la historia de la benemérita institución, la Colecta anual de la Cruz Roja se hará mediante una rifa de atractivos premios. Para ello se realizó un tiraje de 20 mil boletos, cada uno tiene un costo de 10 pesos. Por lo que la meta es recaudar 200 mil pesos antes de concluir el año, informó Juan Pablo García González, coordinador de la Cruz Roja, delegación Zamora.
Esta colecta arrancó el pasado noviembre y cerrará este 31 de diciembre, «decidimos cambiar lo del boteo con la gente en las esquinas pidiendo recurso, toda vez que años anteriores tuvimos problemas de inseguridad, no sólo por poner en riesgo a los voluntarios al andar entre los carros en circulación, sino además porque se llegaron a registrar algunos asaltos a voluntarios que les quitaron el bote».
Destacó que por ello mejor optaron por la rifa, “le gente recibe un boleto a cambio de su moneda de 10 pesos y podrá tener la posibilidad de ganarse un IPhone 14, una lavadora y una lap top. La rifa será el 6 de enero del 2024 (Día de Reyes), con la lotería nacional, y cada boleto tiene 5 opciones para ganar cualquiera de los premios citados».
Es así que ya han visitado empresas, escuelas y personas de la sociedad civil para sensibilizarlos a sumarse a esta noble causa. Parte del recurso recaudado se destinará a la remodelación del edificio, «este durante un tiempo contó con un problema estructural, pero con la donación de una empresa se re-cimentó, al cual se le inyectó concreto y se hicieron unas zapatas en la parte trasera y ahora se requieren remodelar las grietas, pintar e impermeabilizar».
Otra parte se destinará para la operación de los servicios de emergencia gratuitos que se dan en la población, «la pandemia nos causó algunos problemas, tuvimos que recortar un turno, la idea es que en enero ya tengamos 24 horas al día, los servicios de emergencia gratuitos de las ambulancias». Cabe señalar que se cuenta con 50 voluntarios en Zamora y Jacona que están ofertando los boletos.
