La presidenta municipal de Zamora, Rosa Hilda Abascal Rodríguez, confirmó que en Zamora existe un desabasto de gas doméstico debido a que las empresas que lo distribuyen no están recibiendo el suministro suficiente de parte de Pemex para satisfacer las necesidades del mercado, al mismo tiempo que muchos consumidores han realizado compras anticipadas o en cantidades mayores a las que usualmente adquieren.
La edil refirió que incluso muchos zamoranos acuden de manera directa a las estaciones que surten gas y se forman con sus cilindros con la finalidad de que éstos les sean abastecidos.
Incluso relató su caso particular, ya que en su domicilio están a la espera de los camiones que despachan gas desde el 23 de diciembre para que acudan a proveer el energético a los tanques estacionarios.
No se tiene una fecha en específico que advierta cuándo se podría regularizar el abasto en el municipio de gas, refirió la presidenta municipal, quien abundó que las empresas que ha consultado le indican que usualmente en diciembre se eleva el consumo del energético, pero en esta ocasión también se debe tomar en cuenta que Pemex no está abasteciendo con la misma celeridad los volúmenes que demandan las empresas que lo distribuyen al público en general.
Del mismo modo se sabe que en Jacona se vive una situación a la de Zamora, debido a que se trata de una población colindante que también padece cuando Pemex no está satisfaciendo la demanda que tienen los consumidores de gas en la región.
