– Equipo no funciona y SSM comprometió en breve dotar de uno a este nosocomio

Desde hace más de tres años el equipo para realizar mastografías del Hospital General de Zamora (HGZ) no funciona, debido a lo anterior la secretaria de salud Michoacán (SSM) se comprometió a dotar a la brevedad de uno a este nosocomio, a efecto de poder detectar oportunamente el cáncer de mama en las mujeres que así lo soliciten», informó Juan José Vieyra Cárcamo, director del HGZ.
Consideró que en nuestro país se carece de la cultura de la prevención, “esto propicia que los casos de cáncer de mama lleguen a estados muy avanzados, donde ya hay siembras a distancia, son 4 fases, generalmente llegan en la tercera o cuarta”.
Dijo que eso nos debe de poner en foco rojo a todas las instituciones de salud para seguir concientizando a las mujeres sobre la detección oportuna, estimó que 8 de cada 10 mujeres que llegan al nosocomio con cáncer de mama ya van en una etapa avanzada.
«Lo anterior, es multifactorial, tiene que ver con cuestiones de machismo o por la falta de confianza de las mujeres a que les hagan la autoexploración, por lo que deben saber que en nuestras unidades hay personal profesional, ellas deben exigirles la atención oportuna», destacó.
Comentó que, aunque ya terminó el mes rosa, continúan capacitándose en materia preventiva, «tan es así que recientemente tuvimos un curso sobre la prevención y el manejo de cáncer de mama, donde se capacitó a personal médico y administrativo de este hospital, de los centros de salud y de la jurisdicción sanitaria».
Mencionó que en dicha capacitación se destacaron las medidas preventivas como la auto exploración, el acudir de forma oportuna a atención médica, sobre todo en cuanto se detecte algún tumor o secreción del pezón o de las axilas, “el cáncer de mama es el más frecuente en la mujer. Por lo que se les debe concientizar acerca de la importancia de la detección y el tratamiento oportuno”.
Subrayó que, en las áreas de medicina preventiva, de salud reproductiva y ginecología de este nosocomio de manera constante ofrecen orientación en la materia a las pacientes que acuden, “esta patología afecta sobre todo a mujeres de los 40 a 60 años, aunque en los últimos años también mujeres jóvenes de 15 a 30 años la padecen”.
Finalmente indicó que una vez que las mujeres detecten algún nódulo en la mama o axila o secreción, deben acudir a los centros de salud más cercanos.
