-En caso de continuar las bajas temperaturas

De las un mil 100 hectáreas de fresa que se cultivan en los cuatro ejidos del municipio (Platanal, La Estancia Higarteña, San José y Jacona) 400 de estas podrían verse perjudicadas en caso de continuar las bajas temperaturas, dado que no cuentan con macro túnel. De igual manera, están en riesgo 800 de las mil 200 hectáreas de maíz que se cultivan, puesto que aun el grano está en proceso previo a cosecharse y requiere de cierto grado de humedad, por lo que una lluvia o helada sería desfavorable.
Así lo informó José Enrique Ruiz Chávez, director municipal de desarrollo rural, quien indicó que afortunadamente tras el frente frío 12 no ha habido afectaciones por las bajas temperaturas, pero que si continúan descendiendo, el riesgo siegue latente.
Explicó “Los maíces que están próximos a hacer trillados para la cosecha podrían sufrir algunos daños como empezar a pudrirse y puede haber pérdidas. El grano ya cumplió su proceso, su madurez, solo está esperando que haya un verano y que la humedad que tiene la deseche ya que para poder ser trillado o cosechado debe estar seco o con un cierto grado de humedad, y al presentar mucha humedad por las lluvias o por el medio ambiente no cumple ese proceso y empieza a crear un hongo y este causa que se pudran algunas puntas de la mazorca del grano”.
Y añadió “también si siguen los fríos considerables podría caer una helada que afecte a la fresa que no cuenta con la tecnología, una infraestructura de macro túnel».
Destacó que tanto la regiduría de agricultura, como la dirección a su cargo siguen implementando medidas a fin de subsanar esta situación “Seguimos gestionando para tener agricultura protegida y de igual forma exhortamos a los productores a que en caso de una afectación me hagan llegar el reporte que no pase de 3 días, para yo verificar, tomar fotos y mandar el reporte que se canaliza al programa de contingencias climatológicas y se les entregue un subsidio por la afectación de su cultivo, siempre y cuando las apruebe la SAGARPA, si se determina, los requisitos son presentar certificados parcelarios, la CURP y la credencial de elector”.
Dicho programa, concluyó, continúa vigente en el municipio por lo que la ventanilla está advierte de manera permanente “Se trata de un recurso por parte del gobierno federal que ya esta etiquetado por cuestiones de riesgo: heladas, inundaciones, sequías o vientos huracanados, con apoyos que van de los mil 200 a mil 500, por hectárea, según el cultivo que esté desarrollando el productor”.
