– Los pocos recursos hídricos pretenden destinar al ganado

Los productores agrícolas en Tangancícuaro, que se abastecen de agua de la presa Urepetiro, ubicada en Tlazazalca, se encuentran en total incertidumbre ante los bajos niveles que registra la misma, ya que en la actualidad tiene un almacenamiento de 1.2 millones de metros cúbicos, cuando su capacidad total es de 12 millones de metros cúbicos. Por lo que se encuentra casi vacía, ante las escasas lluvias que se han registrado en esta región».
Señaló Gustavo Hernández Medina, jefe de distrito 061 Zamora de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (CONAGUA), “es una situación que pone en alerta a 400 productores de Tangancícuaro que dependen de la misma, sobre todo a los freseros, pues de continuar así, sin lluvias, no habrá manera de recuperar sus niveles y, por tanto, se dejará de sembrar esta frutilla”.
Resaltó que no están en condiciones de destinar recurso hídrico para uso agrícola, más bien, el poco que tienen será para uso ganadero (vacas, chivos, borregos), con un consumo que será mínimo, 50 litros x segundo, “ojalá y en los próximos días haya lluvias para dar esperanza a los productores”.
Aseguró que las hectáreas de maíz de temporal que ya están establecidas se han beneficiado con las pocas lluvias que han caído, “pero los cultivos de fresa que están por establecerse, corren el riesgo de que no hacerlo, precisamente por la falta de lluvias, ya que se trata de cultivos protegidos con macrotunel que forzosamente requieren irrigarse con agua de la presa”.
Todo esto trascendió luego de la reunión realizada en CONAGUA con productores de la presa Urepetiro, representantes del módulo de riego 1 y comisariados ejidales, donde se recomendó a usuarios a hacer uso eficiente del agua y estos se comprometieron a limpiar los canales para que la poca agua pueda llegar a donde se requiera. El próximo lunes se volverán a reunir para dar seguimiento a esta problemática.
