Se promueve la participación de los jóvenes en tareas de desarrollo urbano
Sahuayo, Mich., 14 de agosto de 2014.- Con el propósito de promover entre los estudiantes la importancia de trabajar en pro del crecimiento ordenado e impulso al sector rural, este día la Secretaría de Urbanismo y Medio Ambiente (SUMA) y la Universidad de la Ciénega del Estadode Michoacán firmaron un convenio de colaboración.
Dentro de los compromisos establecidos, se incluye la creación de materias que tienen que ver con el desarrollo de las regiones del estado, además de promover la implementación de varias actividades afines.
El titular de la SUMA, Mauro Ramón Ballesteros Figueroa, destacó la necesidad de reorientar el modelo de desarrollo, más allá de los centros urbanos del país. Precisó que desde siempre las áreas rurales han influido notablemente en el desarrollo e impulso de las grandes ciudades o estados, como en el caso de Michoacán, que durante muchos años ha venido ocupando los primeros lugares en diversos rubros, sin embargo a ese sector no se le ha dado la importancia debida.
Acompañado por el rector de la institución educativa anfitriona, José Eduardo Sahagún Sahagún; de los presidentes municipales de Sahuayo y Jiquilpan, Francisco Sánchez Sánchez y Francisco Álvarez Cortés, respectivamente, el titular de la SUMA insistió en la necesidad de impulsar el crecimiento de las áreas rurales, como una forma de regresarles los beneficios que han generado para las zonas urbanas.
Resaltó la trascendencia del convenio y el nuevo panorama que ahora se vislumbra para el sector rural, con la implementación de materias que promoverán el crecimiento de las áreas rurales.
En su oportunidad, el rector de la Universidad de la Ciénega, José Eduardo Sahagún también subrayó la trascendencia del acuerdo, a la vez que señaló la necesidad que se tiene por trabajar en pro del crecimiento ordenado de las regiones y municipios.
Comentó también la disposición que siempre ha mostrado la Secretaría de Urbanismo y Medio Ambiente en ese tipo de tareas que inciden en impulsar el desarrollo de los diversos espacios de población.
El evento contó con la presencia de un nutrido grupo de estudiantes que se verán involucrados en ese tipo de tareas, además del subsecretario de Desarrollo Urbano y Medio Ambiente en el estado, André Aguilar Aguilar y el director de Desarrollo Urbano, Rafael de Jesús Huacús Elías, entre otros.
