– Fundamental prevenir deshidratación, sobre todo en niños y adultos mayores, los más vulnerables

En el Centro de Salud Urbano de Zamora, ubicado en el circuito vial Galeana, está garantizado el abasto de «vida suero oral», material gratuito para la población que lo requiera en un horario de 8 am a 8 pm.
Actualmente se tiene más de 500 sobres en la unidad, sin embargo, la jurisdicción sanitaria tiene la instrucción de dotar de mayor cantidad en base a la demanda que se tenga para evitar cuadros de deshidratación, señaló Trinidad Villegas Aviña, director de dicha unidad.
Dijo que afortunadamente no son tan frecuentes las deshidrataciones de personas que acudan a esta unidad, no obstante, enfatizó, no se debe bajar la guardia ya que con el inició de la temporada de calor los más susceptibles son los menores de 5 años y los adultos mayores. Los síntomas de deshidratación son sed, confusión, ojos secos, boca seca y alteraciones del estado de conciencia.
«De no atenderse a tiempo se puede llegar a un desequilibrio hidroelectrolítico severo que amerite una atención de nivel hospitalario. En un niño menor de 5 años y en adultos mayores inclusive se pone en riesgo la vida. Hasta el momento no se han registrado incremento en casos de diarreas en las últimas dos semanas, de acuerdo al sistema único de vigilancia epistemológica (SUIVE) tenemos 2 a 3 casos, por semana, pero podría incrementar en las próximas semanas”.
Finalmente recomendó consumir alimentos higiénicos, abundante agua, pescados y mariscos frescos y en buen estado, en caso de presentar los síntomas citados, acudir al centro de salud más cercano y evitar auto medicarse.
