Un total de 27 mil 292 despensas serán distribuidas entre habitantes de colonias de escasos recursos. Los paquetes alimenticios serán otorgados en 8 emisiones del año, de manera que no habrá escasez de alimentos a diferencia del ciclo pasado que ocurrió por cuestiones administrativas del gobierno del Estado.
“Podemos confirmar a la población que estará dotada de alimentos que son nutritivos para fortalecer su salud y también para que prevengan enfermedades como la obesidad, sobrepeso y en casos extremos la diabetes. La entrega de despensas nos garantiza alcanzar ese objetivo”, informó Laura Ivonne Pantoja Abascal, presidenta del DIF Municipal en el marco de la inauguración de una cocina en el Centro de Desarrollo Comunitario (CEDECO) Miguel Regalado.
La cocina asistirá a 730 familias de las colonias aledañas al CEDECO que son de escasos recursos y que por consecuencia no cuentan con lo necesario para tener una alimentación saludable en sus hogares, principalmente niños, mujeres embarazadas y personas de la tercera edad.
El costo de los platillos será de 7 pesos y serán otorgados como desayuno por las mañanas y comida corrida por la tarde. Los productos estarán elaborados a base de soya, avena, granos.
“Esta cocina se suma a las 9 existentes dentro del municipio las cuales se ubican en los CEDECOS Valencia, Salinas de Gortari, La Libertad, El Vergel y Ario de Rayón, así como en lugares el Sauz de Abajo, Aquiles Serdán y el CAPEP (Centro de Atención Psicopedagógica de Atención Preescolar)”, dijo.
Agregó para finalizar que buscarán abrir más cocinas en otros espacios del municipio, ya que la intención es fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria de la población vulnerable para evitar casos de desnutrición y enfermedades crónico – degenerativas.
