Zamora, Michoacán, 19 de octubre de 2024.- En el marco del Día Internacional contra el Cáncer de Mama, el Instituto Municipal de la Mujer (IMM), en colaboración con el Gobierno Municipal de Zamora, aprovechó el primer partido como local del equipo Deportivo Zamora Femenil para hacer un llamado a la conciencia sobre la importancia del cuidado de la salud femenina.
El evento se realizó en el campo A de la Unidad Deportiva El Chamizal, donde el equipo local se enfrentó a la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas.
Durante el medio tiempo del encuentro, la directora del IMM, Emma Bertha Mena Gómez, dirigió un mensaje a las asistentes, instándolas a no descuidar su salud. «Este padecimiento afecta a miles de mujeres en todo el mundo. Desde el Instituto continuamos conmemorando el ‘mes rosa’ con acciones enfocadas en la salud y el bienestar de las mujeres zamoranas», señaló.
Mena Gómez también aprovechó la ocasión para felicitar al equipo Deportivo Zamora Femenil, que viene de una victoria en su primer partido de visitante, en el que derrotó al equipo Afar Manzanillo con un marcador de 4-2, posicionándose como un rival fuerte en la Tercera División Femenil.
La iniciativa forma parte de las actividades del mes rosa, dedicado a la sensibilización sobre el cáncer de mama y al fomento de la detección temprana, en un esfuerzo por reducir la mortalidad asociada a esta enfermedad.
