Villamar, Mich.- El Hospital Rural (HR) de Villamar, del Programa IMSS-Bienestar en Michoacán, promueve el adecuado control prenatal para evitar complicaciones obstétricas y brinda la atención necesaria durante el parto, en beneficio del binomio madre e hijo.
El director de dicho centro hospitalario, Dr. Ulises Camacho Maya, enfatizó que la atención durante el embarazo constituye una de las prioridades en los servicios médicos, con una corresponsabilidad entre la mujer embarazada y el personal de salud, a fin de evitar emergencias obstétricas o complicaciones durante el parto.
Este HR, ubicado en la región de la Ciénega de Chapala, al nor-occidente del estado, atendió un total de 291 nacimientos en 2023; mientras que en lo que va del presente año se contabilizan 74.
En cuanto a emergencias obstétricas, se atendieron 10 el año pasado y solo se han registrado tres en 2024, mismas que se han resuelto en forma favorable, con trabajo coordinado con el Hospital General Regional (HGR) No. 1 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) Morelia-Charo y el Hospital Civil de Morelia.
Ejemplo de un positivo control del embarazo y atención oportuna del parto son Laura “N” y Alondra “N”, quienes dieron a luz a sus bebés esta semana, con un día de diferencia, en el Hospital Rural de Villamar.
El HR de Villamar tiene una población adscrita de casi 150 mil personas, provenientes de 11 municipios de la Ciénega de Chapala, el valle zamorano y el bajío michoacano.
Por su parte, la trabajadora social Alejandra Lagunas García manifestó que la paciente Alondra llevó el control del embarazo en el mismo hospital, su esposo se capacitó y pudo entrar con su esposa al parto, para compartir con ella ese importante momento.
En el caso de Laura, su esposo pudo verla y conocer al bebé después del parto.
