En el marco del arranque de la semana de Protección Civil, integrantes de esta corporación en el municipio de Jiquilpan realizaron un simulacro de accidente vial, extracción de vehículos colapsados e incendios lo que se complementará con simulacros de evacuación por sismo en diversos centros educativos de la localidad.
En el evento -realizado en el tramo carretero Jiquilpan-Sahuayo- tomaron parte elementos de Protección Civil, Policía Municipal, Policía Federal y rescatistas de las agrupaciones de radio organizado y Comisión Nacional de Emergencia así como algunos funcionarios de la municipalidad.
En ese tema el edil Francisco Álvarez Cortés señaló que la intención de este tipo de ejercicios es evaluar la capacidad de respuesta de las corporaciones en caso de ser necesario y destacó q
ue tras este simulacro el municipio cuenta con una capacidad de respuesta óptima en caso de accidentes y siniestros.
A lo largo de esta semana, dijo, se estarán llevando a cabo labores de complemento como charlas y simulacros de evacuación en escuelas y edificios públicos para que la población civil cuente con los elementos teóricos y de práctica para poner a resguardo su integridad física en caso de incendios o movimientos telúricos.
Las actividades de esta semana de Protección Civil tendrán colofón el próximo fin de semana en que los elementos de las corporaciones de rescate y salvamento de este y otros municipios reciban capacitación sobre diversos temas en las instalaciones de la planta Jiquilpan de Liconsa.
En lo que hace a los resultados del simulacro de este lunes, de acuerdo al parte emitido por las autoridades locales se consideró como una de las respuestas de mejores resultados ya que, ejemplificaron, entre el inicio del simulacro y la extracción de la persona accidentada transcurrieron once minutos en tanto que del inicio al fin de toda la operación el cronómetro se paró en los 28 minutos.
