– La adoptaron mujeres durante la guerra de independencia

«Durante la Guerra de Independencia, las mujeres adoptaron estrategias de supervivencia, entre estas la comunicación, ellas eran espías, llevaban y traían mensajes, pero también eran las que proveían de los alimentos y armamentos, de las municiones, casi siempre, a escondidas», señaló Iliria Olimpia Flores Carreño, doctora en historia, egresada del Colegio de Michoacán (ColMich)
En su ponencia “Estrategias de supervivencia femenina durante la Guerra de Independencia” presentada en el ColMich el pasado jueves, la historiadora relató que, además, las mujeres aprovecharon los espacios domésticos, su reino”.
Y aún, agregó, aunque los hombres no estaban ahí, ellas tenían la capacidad, “lo que ahora llamamos cultura política suficiente, como para entender lo que estaba pasando y sacar el provecho para la situación desfavorable en la que estaban».
«Pero, incluso, cuando estaban ellas en la posición de superioridad, lo aprovechaban, o sea, que tampoco, las mujeres no somos calladas, no estamos detrás de escena, estamos ahí todo el tiempo y eso no debemos olvidar, aunque ellas decían que no sabían nada y que no se enteraban de nada. A veces jugar el papel de no sé y no entiendo, es una excelente estrategia de supervivencia», destacó.
En su ponencia no abordó sobre personajes famosos, sino que su interés fue destacar el papel de las mujeres durante el proceso del siglo XIX, «algunas de sus estrategias, a lo mejor, en este siglo XXI, nos parecen fuera de lugar, pero en su momento, fueron las que les salvaron la vida a ellas e incluso a sus familiares”.
Consideró que a la mujer de ese entonces debemos visibilizarla para entenderlas en su contexto y saber que nosotros tenemos esas mismas capacidades de supervivencia y de lucha, “no las hemos perdido, solamente nos hemos olvidado de muchas de ellas y que a veces, por ciertas agendas políticas, estamos haciendo a un lado ciertas estrategias que a ellas les sirvieron».
«No significa que nos sirvan a nosotros en el siglo XXI, pero si la actitud de lucha, de no rendirse ya que la vida cotidiana se reconstruye todos los días haciendo la supervivencia, es decir, ponerse por encima de las circunstancias. Nosotros vivimos otro tipo de violencias: generalizadas y familiares-intimas. Por lo que lo importante es que las volteemos a ver, no como víctimas, no victimizarlas, sino de rescatar ese papel de luchadoras con la frente en alto», subrayó.
La ponencia estuvo basada en su libro de tesis del doctorado, «Vida cotidiana y violencia durante la Guerra de Independencia en el Obispado de Michoacán de 1800 a 1830”, publicado en el 2018, ganador del Premio Nacional Fórum Cultural Guanajuato.
En su turno, Mirtha Insaurralde Caballero, secretaria general del ColMich, expresó, «es fundamental analizar nuestra propia historia, para procurar mejores condiciones en el presente: de igualdad sustantiva, de seguridad, de acceso a las oportunidades, condiciones que nos permitan decidir, sobre nuestros propios objetivos de vida».
«Vivimos una época muy compleja, pero con la fortuna de contar con instancias que promueven políticas para la tan anhelada igualdad sustantiva, sin embargo, las mujeres, a lo largo de la historia, hemos dado el ejemplo para grande, con nuestra capacidad de hacer comunidad y tejer lazos solidarios», indicó.
Isabel Aguilera Verduzco, sindico municipal, expresó, «la participación femenina ha sido fundamental a lo largo de la historia, sin duda las mujeres de ese entonces ayudaron a contribuir a que hoy tengamos una nación independiente, libre y soberana».
Lorena Aguilar González, directora del Instituto Municipal de la Mujer, subrayó, «bien lo dijo Leona Vicario, la mujer fuerte de la Independencia, nos recuerda que somos la pieza fundamental para la trasformación de México».
