La Comisión Estatal de Arbitraje Médico en Michoacán (COESAM) invita a la población a no tener miedo y denunciar cualquier negligencia médica que sufran, «somos la estancia donde recibimos quejas e inconformidades en contra de los servidores de salud.
El usuario no va a dejar de recibir el servicio o dejar de ser derechohabiente de la institución donde este adscrito”.
Indicó Ana González Márquez, titular de la COESAM, al señalar que, si algo está mal o que el personal de salud no hace bien su trabajo, hay que denunciar, ya que el derecho a la salud es universal. Al contrario, si nos quejamos en las estancias donde corresponde, vamos a coadyuvar a mejorar la calidad de los servicios».
Recordó que el módulo de atención de la COESAM se ubica en calle Ejército Nacional 243, a un lado de las oficinas del Sistema de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Zamora (SAPAZ), atienden en un horario de 9 am a 2:30 pm. O bien, pueden comunicarse al 443 317 6594, “recientemente llevamos nuestros servicios a la plaza principal de esta localidad, para formar parte de la cruzada por la inclusión y acercarnos a la ciudadanía, recordar sus derechos y obligaciones en materia de salud”.
A pregunta expresa de que tan frecuente es la discriminación al usuario en los sistemas de salud, dijo que ha mejorado, «hay más cultura de la inclusión, ya se tiene mejor trato al usuario en general, hay más sensibilidad, la gente se preocupa y suma. Eso es muy bueno para el sistema de salud y la población en general».
Pero admitió que, en algunos hospitales, en ocasiones se carece de intérpretes de lengua de señas o personas que atiendan a hablantes de las lenguas indígenas, «en los hospitales regionales si se cuenta con este personal, pero en otros se carece. Sin embargo, de manera general vamos mejorando, avanzando y evolucionando, siendo incluyentes».
