• Llama a no confundir a los migrantes con estadísticas al acompañar al Presidente Felipe Calderón en la entrega de su fondo de ahorro a exbraceros.
El Gobernador del Estado, Fausto Vallejo Figueroa, junto al Presidente de la República, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, encabezó la entrega de su fondo de ahorros a ex trabajadores migratorios mexicanos, que equivale a 38 mil pesos para 500 de ellos que se dieron cita en esta ciudad, de entre más de 12 mil michoacanos que laboraron en los Estados Unidos entre 1942 y 1964.
El Gobernador del Estado, Fausto Vallejo Figueroa, mencionó que era inédito que un presidente este tres días en una entidad federativa, como ha hecho esta semana el Presidente Calderón. Calificó que esta acción como muestra de que tiene compromiso con Michoacán y quiere al estado: “nos ha entregado carreteras en el oriente, uno de los mejores hospitales para cerca de 500 mil michoacanos y hoy reparte justicia social”.
Michoacán conoce este fenómeno y es un acto de justicia y un compromiso del estado mexicano la entrega de los apoyos sociales como parte fideicomiso 2106, que beneficia a quienes fueron a trabajar la agricultura en los Estados Unidos entre 1942 y 1964, explicó el gobernador.
El gobernador asumió el compromiso de fortalecer la entrega de matrículas migratorias en los 73 municipios con más alto grado de emigración. Anticipó que fortalecerá los esfuerzos del programa 3 por uno y el “bienvenido paisano” para quienes regresan y para quienes se quedan en Michoacán.
Llamó a no olvida que la mayoría de quienes se van no lo hacen por gusto, sino por necesidad y su trabajo genera más de 10 por ciento de los ingresos económicos de nuestro país: “pero no hay que ver a la migración como un tema estadístico, sino como un asunto humano, que requiere la mayor de las atenciones posibles”.
Por su parte, Alejandro Poiré Romero, secretario de Gobernación, mencionó que estos trabajadores migratorios fueron a trabajar a los Estados Unidos, por la pérdida de mano de obra que generó la segunda guerra mundial. Así bajo el tratado de cooperación laboral y se les detuvo un 10 por ciento de sus ingresos para crear un fondo de ahorro.
Hoy se hace entrega de esos recursos a los compatriotas mexicanos, se implementaron medidas para que sus recursos se realicen de manera eficiente y transparente a través de 32 módulos de atención y orientación en las representaciones de la Secretaría de Gobernación.
Apuntó que se garantiza la entrega a quienes vivieron en los Estados Unidos de América, y con la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, se realizara el pago en los 43 consulados mexicanos en Estados Unidos. Para evitar cualquier mal uso el pasado viernes 2 de marzo se publicaron los nombres con los 105 mil 552 trabajadores que tienen derecho al apoyo social. En Michoacán son 12 mil 632 los beneficiarios del programa.
Emilio Vega Melgoza, beneficiario del programa agradeció el apoyo que le entregan y recordó el tiempo que trabajo en los Estados Unidos en los campos, dejando a la familia “pero llevándola en el corazón” para ofrecerles una mejor calidad de vida.
