El alcalde de Tangancícuaro, Gustavo Zintzún señaló que la tala inmoderada de árboles, incendios forestales, detonan esta situación

Es preocupante que desciendan los niveles de agua del Lago de Camécuaro, situación que hemos percibido en los últimos años y que tienen como una de sus causas principales la tala inmoderada de árboles y los constantes incendios forestales, consideró Gustavo Zintzún, presidente municipal de donde se ubica el parque nacional.
No obstante indicó el edil que la presente administración municipal no bajará la guardia en ese sentido, “vamos hacer todo lo que este de nuestra parte para que el lago y los bosques puedan mantenerse y preservarse”.
En este sentido señaló “estamos con mucho trabajo, buscando alternativas para cuidar muy bien el bosque, reforestándolo, ahora hemos estado con todos los productores de la región, sobre todo de Tangancícuaro, sumándolos al proyecto para que nos ayuden a pagar brigadas contra incendios cuando esta por entrar el tiempo de calor, de esa manera evitar incendios y la tala inmoderada, queremos que se sumen a brindarnos apoyo económico con el fin de dar sustento para manejar estas brigadas y ayudar para que todo esto lo podamos contrarrestar”.
Mencionó que acaban de reforestar alrededor de 35 mil árboles en todo lo que es la parte de la localidad de Patamban y en diferentes zonas del municipio.
“Esto lo estamos haciendo en lugares estratégicos donde se pueda dar seguimiento y estar seguros de que estos arbolitos tengan su objetivo, porque otras veces reforestaban, íbamos a los seis meses y no había ninguno, ahora estamos haciendo todo lo contrario, reforestar en lugares difíciles y constatar en seis meses que ahí están los árboles. Estamos poniendo árboles nativos de la región para que no tengan problema de permanencia, básicamente pinos”.
Estas labores, dijo, las están haciendo en colaboración con personal de los municipios de Chavinda, Tangamandapio, Zamora y Jacona, localidades colindantes con el Lago de Cámecuaro.
Agregó que el cerro de Patambán tiene bien marcados los lugares donde hay abuso en el derribo de árboles, “estamos haciendo conciencia en la comunidad para que ellos sean los propios supervisores de su cerro y afortunadamente están respondiendo muy bien”.
“También queremos reforestar más al interior del Parque Natural, pero ahí hay que invertirle más porque necesitamos colocar un cerco perimetral para que no se metan los animales y buscar la manera constante de estarlos regando”.
Finalmente mencionó que tienen como 18 años que no se desazolva el lago, “no le han tomado la atención necesaria, pero si lo requiere, estamos muy atentos y vamos a ver si logramos con el distrito de riego No 21 de Jacona nos ayuden, haciendo el favor de prestarnos las dragas para darle una buena limpieza al afluente”.
