– Reconocen a periodista Bertha Guillermina Castellanos por su difusión fuera del país del agro local

“La principal fortaleza del campo michoacano es su dimensión internacional.
Los productos michoacanos se exportan a todo el mundo: Europa, Estados Unidos (EU), Japón y Medio Oriente, principalmente mangos, berries, aguacates y cítricos (limones). Todos estos productos michoacanos son un referente de calidad a nivel mundial».
Señaló Francisco Seva Rivadulla, periodista español especializado en el tema agroalimentario internacional y embajador mundial del agro mexicano, en su visita a esta ciudad para recibir y entregar un reconocimiento, agregó, «otra fortaleza, es la capacidad que tiene el agricultor local de seguir produciendo con alta calidad año con año y poder exportar a todo el mundo, pese a las condiciones adversas del mercado y la inflación».
Además, puntualizó, el campo michoacano en el mundo tiene canales de distribución enormes, por ejemplo, en un mercado tan importante como EU hay una distribución envidiable, a menor escala en Europa, “pero no dudo que pronto, en algunos años, el continente europeo este al nivel de EU en consumo de productos michoacanos”.
En contraste, dijo, la principal debilidad es la falta de promoción, “el campo michoacano todavía no es tan conocido en Europa, Japón y otras partes del mundo. Hace falta más campañas de promoción y mercadotecnia para que los productos se conozcan mejor y los consumidores se familiaricen con ellos y tengan la confianza de comprar cualquier producto del campo michoacano».
«Asimismo, los productores michoacanos tienen que estar más unidos. Hay un dicho que decimos en España: «La unión hace la fuerza», hay que dejar un lado el individualismo y apostar más por la unidad, ya que sólo así, habrá mejores precios, más competitividad y el sector podría crecer más y tener un mejor desarrollo».
Otras debilidades, destacó, son la contaminación de las aguas y en algunas zonas las sequias. Además del abuso de productos fitosanitarios, «pero ahora que hay un movimiento de producción orgánica que será muy favorable en los próximos años».
Admitió, «El cambio climático nos está afectando mucho, las temperaturas cada vez son más altas, pero en el fondo, si somos capaces de gestionar los recursos hídricos y apostar por un modelo de desarrollo sostenible. Creo que futuro del campo michoacano es formidable y muy brillante»
El especialista en temas del agro mexicano aprovechó su estancia en esta ciudad para entregar un reconocimiento a la periodista zamorana Bertha Guillermina Castellanos Arciga por su labor informativa fuera de México de los productos del campo michoacano, quien además está por cumplir 45 años de labor periodística.
«Para mí es un placer poder hablar del campo mexicano y contar al mundo la riqueza que tiene México en este rubro y por supuesto reconocer que en lugar de resaltar la violencia y otros problemas que tiene este país, mejor se hable de las bondades para el paladar y salud nutricional que tienen los productos del agro mexicano, como lo hace Castellanos Arciga”, finalizó.
