– Permitirá mejorar la sensibilidad de niños y pacientes con ese espectro

El CRI PROMOTON pondrá en funciones un nuevo chaleco sensorial que permitirá contribuir de manera importante para ayudar en la rehabilitación de niños con autismo. Será importante para que se puedan regular los sentidos de los infantes que padecen ese espectro. El instrumento fue donado por Derian Jiménez, psicólogo terapeuta clínico y especializado, con experiencia en autismo para fortalecer la condición de los infantes que acuden a recibir terapia.
Rosa Lidia Tamayo Ríos, coordinadora del Centro de Autismo y Lenguaje y del CRI PROMOTON, agradeció el esfuerzo realizado por el terapeuta clínico porque sin duda fortalecerá los proyectos que se realizan en la institución para apoyar a las personas con discapacidad como ha sido la temática de Forjadores de Esperanza a lo largo de los años.
Por su parte, Derian Jiménez, aseguró que la operatividad del chaleco ya está validada debido a que ya se probó con resultados importantes en su momento, de manera que el trámite de patente ya está en curso. Explicó que el aparato funciona por medio de vibraciones que se pueden regular de acuerdo al nivel de intensidad que se requiera y se puede utilizar en un consultorio, centro terapéutico, consultorio o el hogar.
Finalmente, Socorro Cabrera, responsable del Centro de Autismo y Lenguaje, enfatizó que el chaleco no reemplaza ninguna terapia o tratamiento para los infantes, pero si viene a fortalecer el estado físico de los pacientes porque el 90 por ciento de las personas que padecen autismo llega a presentar problemas de estimulación sensorial, de manera que son sensibles o poco sensibles.
