El pescado sigue al alza. Desde días previos a la temporada de Cuaresma, durante y a la fecha, se mantiene elevado el precio del producto. Y es que hay escasez de este en diversas presas del país, debido a los fuertes vientos registrados y a la gran demanda, ya que en esta temporada de calor es cuando más se vende.
Uriel Bucio Pantoja, encargado de la pescadería “Sarita” ubicada en el mercado Hidalgo, explicó, “los fuertes vientos, hacen que los peces se sumerjan y haya poco producto, además como hay mucha demanda, esto también provoca escasez, ya que los distribuidores suelen pagar más caro con tal de tener asegurado el producto”.
Dijo que esta situación se presenta sobre todo en las presas Aguamilpa en Nayarit y Falcón en Tamaulipas, “de donde nos abastecemos de los pescados de agua dulce, como son bagre, carpa, mojarra y la Lobina. Todo este está escaso. Por ello los precios siguen alterándose”.
Añadió, “el kilo de bagre anda en 94 pesos, antes 70 pesos; el kilo de mojarra chica está en 76 pesos, con anterioridad a 60 pesos; la mojarra grande anda en 100 pesos el kilo, antes a 80 pesos; el kilo de carpa está a 76, mientras que con anterioridad a 58 pesos”.
Dijo que el producto de agua dulce más demandado en Michoacán y concretamente en Zamora es el bagre y la mojarra, “pero también el producto del mar está escaso, por la alta demanda y el mal tiempo. El kilo de Huachinango anda en 230, estaba en 195 pesos; el kilo de robalo está en 220, antes en 180 pesos”.
En cambio, puntualizó, el camarón se mantiene estable el kilo del chico, anda en 200 pesos y el kilo del grande en 280 pesos, “afortunadamente hay mucha producción de este crustáceo e incluso lo van almacenando. Por lo que el precio no se ha alterado”.
Finalmente subrayó que productos como el salmón no tienen mucha demanda, “se vende muy poco. Actualmente el kilo está a 330 pesos y estaba a 290 pesos. Los días de mayor venta de pescado son los fines de semana”.
