El servicio de transporte público no es rentable, ni funciona de manera óptima actualmente debido a una desorganización en las rutas que ofrece el servicio, ya que por encontrarse saturadas en puntos como la avenida 5 de Mayo, no cubren la totalidad de comunidades o colonias de nueva creación en donde hay miles de familias asentadas.
“No es un invento de nuestra parte, la propia Comisión Coordinadora de Transporte (COCOTRA) ha reconocido el problema y es necesario que haya la creación de un Plan de Reordenamiento Vial para corregir la situación y que realmente haya un servicio de manera eficiente”, puntualizó Gerardo Tinajero Berrueta, encargado de hacer la actualización del Plan de Desarrollo Urbano, en base a los resultados de un estudio efectuado para enriquecer el documento.
Indicó que un ejemplo de que no es rentable el servicio de transporte público son los camiones que circulan por una determinada ruta y que van semivacíos, debido a que se empatan en diversas calles del primer cuadro de la ciudad y tienen casi el mismo destino.
“En otros casos detectamos que incluso hay personas que deben esperar por tiempo prolongado una unidad o en su defecto caminar hasta kilómetro y medio para poder subirse a un microbús y de esa manera poder acudir rumbo al centro de la ciudad para poder atender sus necesidades personales”, aseguró.
Comentó que lamentablemente el programa de Reordenamiento Vial no se puede hacer de manera inmediata, debido a que para hacerlo es necesario que el Ayuntamiento lo tenga respaldado en el Plan de Desarrollo Urbano, de otra manera se encuentran “atados de manos” para hacer esa acción.
“Necesitamos demostrarle a los transportistas cuáles son los mecanismos y las propuestas claras para que modifiquen sus rutas de transporte; finalmente no es una medida que beneficie únicamente al gobierno municipal, sino también a ellos para que gasten menos en combustible, mantenimiento y además capten mayor número de pasajeros”, dijo.
Consideró finalmente que los transportistas tendrán que involucrarse en la elaboración del Plan de Desarrollo Urbano para que puedan enriquecer cada una de las propuestas de mejoras del documento y de esa manera dar marcha adelante con el reordenamiento.
