-Patronato pro construcción se reunirá con gobernador para darle solución al problema
-Insistirán en la necesidad de preparación profesional para jóvenes

Ante la falta de recursos económicos para adquirir mobiliario, equipo y salarios de profesores, el campus de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), ubicado rumbo a La Rinconada en esta ciudad, no podrá abrir matrícula a carreras profesionales.
“No tienen dinero y no pueden afrontar lo necesario para que arranque este importante centro de estudios. Es una situación que lamentamos porque los jóvenes de la región están ansiosos de poder tener una opción para poder continuar con su preparación profesional”, aseguró Fidel Martínez Acevedo, presidente del patronato pro construcción del campus de la UMSNH.
Notificó que la información anterior le fue dada a conocer por Salvador García, director académico de la UMSNH, tras una reunión que sostuvo con los miembros del patronato así como en la que también estuvieron agricultores reconocidos de la región como Luis Hernández Barrera y Antonio Sámano, productores de papa y fresa, respectivamente.
“Nuestra intención es que se pueda concretar el hecho de que sean carreras enfocadas a la agronomía, porque es el tipo de profesionistas que necesitan empresas y agroindustrias de la región; sin embargo el camino será largo ante la imposibilidad económica que tiene la institución nicolaíta”, dijo.
Comentó que el siguiente paso será reunirse directamente con Fausto Vallejo Figueroa, gobernador de Michoacán, para que se pueda avanzar en el proyecto, si se toma en consideración que fue garantizado que durante este año quedaría listo para poder funcionar el campus.
“No nos queda otro camino más que seguir en las gestiones y queremos decirle a los jóvenes que buscan la conclusión del proyecto que no vamos a dejar de lado hacer lo necesario para que pronto tengan su escuela terminada y puesta en funciones. Compartimos sus inquietudes y estamos al tanto de su sentir, por ello es que hemos acelerado los tramites”, mencionó.
Finalmente informó que mientras tanto los trabajos de construcción avanzan a paso lento y una prueba es que apenas están por concluir la zona de aulas, que ya cuenta con piso y en algunos salones ya se colocaron las ventanas para tratar de tener los espacios cerrados y evitar que se deterioren.
